Hi there! My name is Faye and I am a third year arts student majoring in Communication and Media Studies.
During my free time I enjoy watching American TV shows, going for karaoke sessions and eating Japanese food. Whether or not we share the same interests, I hope we can get to know each other better!
I am really happy to have found a way to contribute to the SAM family again this coming year. I am looking forward to creating more opportunities to bring fellow Singaporeans together in Monash this 2017/2018!
Internal Vice President
Hi everyone! My name is Bryan but I'm better known as Billy among friends. I'm currently in my 2nd year studying biomedical science at Clayton.
I'm a huge soccer fan and I love kicking a ball around with friends every now and then. I also love watching TV shows and playing video games. I also enjoy all forms of water sports from scuba diving to wakeboarding.
I'm looking forward to helping my fellow Singaporeans better adapt to life in Melbourne so I hope to see some of you guys around at our events. Feel free to come and say hi! I'm always up for a beer or a late night supper run :)
Goh Yeou Jie
External Vice President
Hey guys, I am Yeou Jie, a 2nd year business student. I am currently living in Holman Hall. I was previously the Public Relations Director and am very excited to be involved in SAM for another year.
I am looking forward to organise better events for you guys and orientate new students into the Singaporean society in Monash.
During my free time, I enjoy playing table tennis and FIFA. I would be happy to organise a game with you, just drop me a message. Hope to see all of you attending our events in the future!
Seah Ying Lin
Hello! My name is Ying Lin and I’m a first year law student.
In my free time I like working on jigsaw puzzles, catching up with friends, playing sports, reading, and thinking about exciting future plans. I love travelling, the outdoors and food!!!!
I'm excited to contribute and I would love to get to know you better! See you around!
Hey guys, I'm Vincent. I'm currently in my second year of a Bachelor of Laws.
Do hit me up if you're similarly into futsal/football, tennis, table-tennis! I also play the violin and guitar and particularly enjoy making music covers of contemporary songs. I'm ALWAYS down for drinks and chill if you ask me- a good lager always works wonders. I also enjoy travelling and exploring new places. Melbourne is THE place to be if you’re a traveller at heart!
I have an irrepressible passion for current affairs; that’s why I did law because I’m an idealist at heart. It's always uplifting to get acquainted with others who share a strong sense of social justice and desire to change the world we live in for the better :)
Always open for a friendly chat or coffee- it’s a small but close-knit community we have here at Monash so make the most of your time here! We’re here to help with that so rest assured, the committee will always have your back!
Hi friends! I'm Chloe and currently, I'm a Year 1 student studying accounting at Caulfield.
I love sports! I was in track for a good 9 years and decided to have a change. So I'm currently taking up Taekwondo in Monash. Always up for any sport so hit me up if you need extra kakis!
Also, I love watching amazing young talents on America's Got Talent/Britain's Got Talent/X Factor. I always end up crying when those super humble contestants get golden buzzers because it's so touching.
Other than that, I'm a rather chill person, so feel free to approach me or any other committee members should you have any feedback! My main aim would be to make everyone feel included and comfortable, despite being in a new environment. Do support us!
Lim Zhe Xuen
Hey guys! I’m Zhe Xuen, in the third year of my Bachelors of Education in Early Years.
I love to eat and watch drama series online! Always keen for a cuppa coffee so feel free to come up for a chat with me if you see me around!
I look forward to meeting all of you at the many events we will be organising to bring a piece of home closer to you here in Monash :-)
Hi everyone, my name is Ryan but most people call me Rye cos there’re too many Ryans in the world. I’m a second year Business/Media Communications student majoring in International business.
I used to play basketball but now I play golf. Some people may say that’s a down grade (I used to too) but I guess I’m more into little white balls now. Hit me up if you want to play either!
I promise you guys I will do my best in fulfilling my role as an events officer. What I can say is that my team mates are really awesome and I hope we can deliver in making your university life better and more interesting.
Hmu for a chat/coffee/brunch! (I have a whole list of places to go)
Hello! I’m Andrea and am currently in the second year of my Arts degree majoring in Psychology. The main aim is to be a child psychologist, but we’ll see how that goes.
My interests include anything artsy, such as watercolour art, modern typography and bullet journaling. I also enjoy reading and playing the piano. Most of all, I enjoy dancing, and have had lots of fun competing and performing back in Singapore and in other countries ^^
Excited to meet and get to know all of you, as well as answer any questions ya’ll might have about the society, Melbourne, or anything under the Sun J If you have ideas on what can be improved, or comments on what you enjoyed at events at SAM, please let any of us know! ^^
Hey! My name is Daryl, I’m a 1st year medical student. I’m a Virgo and am an ESFJ.
I make time for friends and family to go out for brunches, movies and outdoor activities. A good day includes karaoke, dinner then movie; maybe hanging at the bar after? I’m describing my routine when i go to JB. I love travelling and exploring new places, near or far, I'm your designated driver. I study Korean language in my free time hoping to impress someone down the road. I’ve recently started collecting board games so that I may one day have a man-cave with all the junk in one place. I do this so that I can save money on going out HAHA. Watch a horror movie with me or go to theme parks with me, I love the feeling of screaming your guts out. But at the end of the day, I love coming home to snuggle up with my dog, play some video games, watch TV shows.
Come get to know me, I'm nicer than I look.
